Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

Education

Your tattoo was done in a clean, controlled environment. Proper aftercare ensures it heals the same way—clean, smooth, and consistent.

Derm Shield (First Stage Healing)

Your tattoo has been covered with Derm Shield to protect it during the most sensitive stage of healing.

  • Leave the Derm Shield on for 3–5 days (or as instructed)

  • It is normal to see fluid or ink underneath the bandage

  • Do not puncture or remove it early unless necessary                                 If the Derm Shield needs to be removed early:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly

  • Gently remove in the shower under warm water

  • Clean the tattoo immediately after removal

  • After Removing Derm Shield

  • Wash gently with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap

  • Pat dry with a clean towel (do not rub)

  • Allow the skin to breathe for a short period

    Please follow these steps carefully.

Moisturizing (No Ointments)

  • Use a light, non-scented lotion only

  • Apply a thin layer 2–3 times per day

  • Do not over-moisturize—the skin should not feel greasy

👉 Ointments are not recommended, as they can trap moisture and affect healing.

Healing Process (What to Expect)

  • Light peeling or flaking is normal

  • The tattoo may feel dry or slightly itchy

  • Do NOT pick, scratch, or peel the skin

  • If anything looks unusual or concerning, reach out
